Don’t forget this weekend’s big crappie.com gathering at the Lake D’Arbonne State Park. Even if you don’t want to fish, grab a little something to eat and come visit with some of the area’s crappie fishermen and have a good time.
The gathering is Nov 12..13..14, 2020 at Lake Darbonne State Park! Every year on the second Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of November, a group of fishermen who are members of Crappie.com gather at Lake D’Arbonne State Park to meet, greet and eat.

Fishermen start gathering at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Group Lodge in the State Park. Thursday night we plan to gather for supper at a local restaurant. Friday morning the fishing starts with as many as want to fish. Friday evening around 6:00 P.M. is the “Pot Luck Supper” where every kind of food imaginable is served.
On Saturday the fishing continues and fish are caught and cleaned for the “Fish Fry” on Saturday night. On Saturday night there will be Fried Crappie, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, Hush Puppies, Cole Slaw, Sweet Tea and probably some left overs from Friday night. You don’t want to miss it! After Supper there will be some Door Prizes handed out!
