Myers / Taylor Grab Day 1 ACT lead

Day 1 of the American Crappie Trail National Championship on Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville is in the books and local team Ken Myers and Mark Taylor grabbed the lead with two more days of fishing. The duo had seven fish weighing 13.99 pounds with a 2.34 big fish for the day. Lamar Bunting is in third and caught the biggest fish of the day, a 2.54 slab.

At the end of tomorrow, the field will be cut to the top 25 anglers to decide who will be fighting it out for the 2021 National Championship and the B’n’M Poles Angler of the Year on Saturday! The final day’s weigh-in will be at the Courthouse Square in downtown Farmerville with a load of events planned. Come on out and watch!

Thank you to Farmerville, Louisiana, Union Parish Tourist Commission, Union Parish Police Jury, and the State of Louisiana for sponsoring the event ! This year’s event has 64 boats participating. Payout for the event has not been announced.
