Two local teams are leading after Day Two of the American Crappie Trail National Championship on Lake D’Arbonne. Ken Myers and Mark Taylor maintained the top spot and lead with 27.28 pounds after two days. Chris Fields and Jared Riser are in second with 26.66. Weights are running lower this year, which isn’t unusual the year after a drawdown on the lake. The team of Brandon Threadgill and Joe Partenza brought in the tournament’s lone three pounder so far to lead the big fish race with a 3.08
The top 25 teams survived to fish in the finals Saturday. The drive in weigh-in will be held on Farmerville’s Courthhouse square. Come enjoy the fun. The Town of Farmerville, Tourist Commission, Chamber, Police Jury and State of Louisiana Tourist Commission are sponsoring the event.
Here are the standings after Friday. No payout for the event has yet been announced by ACT. Since only 64 of the qualified boats, some teams and some individuals, fished in the event, payout may be lower than earlier expected. I’ll let you know when I know.
