It’s a big week for K&M Coffee, Corks and Camo in Farmerville. And for local and area sportsmen as well!
The newly expanded store will be celebrating a grand re-opening with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Friday morning and then a day full of seminars and sales on Saturday. The big weekend precedes the practice and competition for the Crappie Masters National Championship on Lake D’Arbonne the following week.
“We are pretty excited, but we are pretty tired,” said Kenny Kavanaugh of he and his wife Marcy’s week. “The store filled up quickly and we’ve got a large selection of fishing items and a lot of hunting and other outdoor gear as well,” he said. “Our team has been working non-stop for weeks to get everything in order and we’ll continue right up until the big weekend. Of course, we are open now and have everything you need in place.”
Basically, the old part of the store will be turned into a gift shop and eatery, with the same popular items on the food menu as before, plus a few new people catchers. The back part of the store will be dedicated to sporting goods.
For the grand opening Friday and Saturday, they’ll be great deal on the famous burgers — buy one burger and get one free, or buy a burger and get a free milkshake! Friday and Saturday only.
Several pros in town for the tournament will be putting on seminars and be available to talk to other anglers on this coming Saturday. The store will be open from 5 a.m. – 8 p.m. and will open a little early the competition days of the big tournament to enable anglers to get fresh bait for the fish and breakfast for themselves, Kenny said.
