There’s often a place where, when conditions are right, that the Mississippi River meets the Gulf of Mexico and the waters do not mix. There’s a definite visible line between the two.
I think there are at least two lessons there. First of all, there is a definite line between right and wrong, faith and tomfoolery and truth and deceit. God has drawn a line there if we open our eyes and look, just like the line between clear and muddy water.
Lesson No. 2. People who don’t think God exists haven’t spent much time in nature. A glowing sunrise or sunset, a different painting of skies, clouds and colors on every day and the majesty of woods and water everywhere are prime examples. And hey, if God can tell the ocean and the river where to stop, he can surely do anything else.
Wouldn’t you agree?
Job 12:7-10 (NIV)
7 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
9 Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
10 In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.
