
Here’s an upcoming fishing event for a good cause! The 2nd annual Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Bass Tournament on the Ouachita River is set for August 10, 2019. Any public boat ramp south of Felsenthal, north of the Columbia Locks and any of the Ouachita River tributaries may be fished.
First cast will be at 6:00 a.m. August 10th. The weigh-in sight will be at Lazarre Point at 3:00 p.m.
The entry fee is $100.00 per two man team, plus $10.00 per team to enter Big Bass. Contestants may pre-register at either Toledo Tackle locations, The Honey Hole or you can register the morning of the event at the Lazarre Point Weigh-in sight beginning at 4:00 a.m. the day of the tournament, prior to competing.
Raffle tickets for several prizes will be for sale at the weigh-in sight also.
All proceeds will go to benefit the OPSO Deputies Benevolent Fund and Horses for Autism (HATS).
