It’s Watermelon time!

The annual Farmerville Watermelon Festival is this weekend, July 26 & 27.

It’s Watermelon Festival time. This Friday and Saturday, there are events going on all around Lake D’Arbonne. Don’t miss it. The annual “more candy and goodies than at any other parade around” parade is at 9 a.m. You can also buy a cool commemorative Watermelon Festival t-shirt in just about any size, from kids up to double watermelon sizes.

The annual Louisiana Watermelon Festival draws thousands to downtown Farmerville to celebrate everyone’s favorite summertime treat: the juicy red melon.

The event features a Friday night street dance, Saturday morning parade and beauty pageant that night. Check out all the activities below. And lots of vendors will be working the event.

There’s even a bass tournament: Tourney director Dale Taylor will be hosting the 2019 Watermelon Festival Team Tournament Saturday night. Entry fee is $100 per team paid at the ramp road pavilion only on Saturday afternoon from 6:00 pm till starting time at 8:00 pm. Weigh-in will be at the pavilion at 7:00 am Sunday morning. Printed rules and application will be provided at registration.
