Pro Formula connection

The area was buzzing with pro crappie fishermen earlier this spring, and will be again this fall when the American Crappie Trail returns to the Ouachita River. One thing you quickly notice is the commitment of sponsors in the business to promote fishing and make fishing better. Competitive fishing gives sponsors a chance to showcase their products.

One local angler, Steve Danna is almost always fishing, if not for crappie, for sponsors to help him be able to promote fishing and their products along the way. It’s a win-win situation.

Steve has a new major sponsor this year and it’s a product that most people have only recently heard of because, well…because it’s new. It’s called Pro Formula, and is made by Petra Oil Company, a family-owned and operated business headquartered in Houston, TX.

As competitive crappie fishing grows larger and interest in crappie for recreational fishing booms, companies like Pro Formula are getting more and more involved.
