Bass fishing isn’t just for grizzled old veterans anymore. The young guys are starting to show everybody else how it’s done. Check out the results from this past weekend’s Louisiana National Guard open high school bass tournament at Hooks’ Marina on Caney Lake.
Big bass & 1st place – Caden Smith/Bo Hatton 20.21 pounds (big bass 5.69)
2nd place – Ian Carter/ Lakin Horton 17.54 pounds (big bass 5.11)
3rd place- Gage Struben/Hagen Carter 12.54 pounds
4th place- Cason Womack/Bradley Koonce 10.01 pounds
5th place- Colby Williams/Maddox Williams 9.97 pounds
6th place- Orrin Wheelis/Landin Chatham 7.96 pounds
Congratulations to the high school fishermen, the Louisiana National Guard for sponsoring and for the many adults who helped put on the tournament and supervise the young fishermen.
