You can tell from the Facebook page above that the Louisiana Hunters for Heroes had a great time in Union Parish this weekend. The group had some good success in the woods and even more success visiting, eating and sharing caring for each other. This is a great group and they had a great welcome to the Parish. Good job to everyone involved.

“This is Donnie Vocker with Louisiana Hunters for Heroes. When we received our 501c3 the main goal of our organization was to assist the men and women of our Warrior transitions units at the military bases. We offer hunting and fishing to all DAV’s around our state, from any war era, any age. These trips are all expense paid except for travel there, which includes food, lodging, taxidermy, meat processing, guns to use and ammo. We are working on a big season this year and hope to be able to show as many Veteran’s as possible how we and the community’s in our state appreciate their sacrifices for our freedom. I’m writing to you because we need to put together a list of men and women who would like to participate in these trips. We also appreciate donations of materials and money. Anything you can do help us help our veterans is appreciated.
