Lake life

A little cray cray

Well, the weather was one of the hot topics the past two weeks, not the fishing,  while I took a little break from the blog. Heavy rains around the first tropical storm of the season and a followup storm that seemed to come out of nowhere raised the level fast and high. Lake D’Arbonne reached 82.5 on Sunday and crested.

The tainter gates are opened and the lake is falling and should be back down to normal levels in time for the big Fourth of July weekend celebration, which is actually on Saturday, July 1 this. Here’s the latest look at the lake level and projections for those affected:

We will have more on the big plans for D’Arbonne Country’s

Fourth of July in our next update!
