Crappie Happiness: The ” Crappie Fishermen United Of Louisiana ” have chosen February 18, 2017 as their next tournament date and they are coming home to where it all started, Lake D’Arbonne.
Pre-spawn fishing should be excellent and the event will give anglers a chance to hone their competitive skills a week before the big professional Crappie Masters tournament which is coming Feb. 24-25.
This event will be an 8 pole or less event. Live or artificial baits are allowed with up to two anglers per boat. There is a $40 per boat entry fee which can be prepaid at one of the three pay stations — Honey Hole , Taterbugs or Toledo Tackle. The tournament organizers

encourage people to pre-register. You can pay at the ramp before 6:30am for an additional $5 in cash only. Tournament hours are from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. with weigh in at 2 p.m. Anglers must be in line no later than 2:30 p.m. WITH NO EXCEPTIONS,
You may launch at all ramps on the lake, but the weigh in will be at the Ramp Road Pavilion straight across from Jake’s. You may weigh in 7 fish with no penalties for recently dead fish with a minimum length of nine inches.
Payouts include 1st thru 5th place total stringer and 1st and 2nd place on Big Fish. You will be giving 2 tickets per boat for our usual give a ways after weigh in, which includes jig poles and many other excellent door prizes. There is an annual organization fee of $20 per person for all who plan on fishing tournaments for insurance.
