We’re doing a double take today. First water, then boats.
WATER: I gotta tell you, I was a bit worried about the late start in filling Lake D’Arbonne up after the recent drawdown. Now? As Crocodile Dundee says, “No worries, mate”. We’ve had a good bit of rain here, but special thanks to our friends in south Arkansas who have been taking a pounding with the rain…and a lot of it has drained down this way to fill up the lake. Here’s a look at the lake level. We are just over a foot above pool stage.
BOATS: Now, how about something to put in all that water? Most of the area’s boat dealers and lots of other vendors will be on hand for the 29th annual KNOE Boat & Outdoor Show this coming weekend. The event will be held at the Monroe Civic Center. Tickets are $6 per person for adults. Children 12 and under are admitted free. There will also be campers, ATV’s and a gun and knife show.
Here are the event times:
Friday, January 27, 2017 — 12 PM – 7 PM
Saturday, January 28, 2017 — 10 AM – 7 PM
Sunday, January 29, 2017 — 11 AM – 5 PM
Here are a couple of the rigs one of our sponsors, Wood Marine, plan to have on hand:
