The Bayou Pirates are coming to D’Arbonne.
If you are a kayak fisherman and like to bass fish, you need to check this out. There will be a Bayou Pirates Kayak Fishing Tournament on Lake D’Arbonne Saturday, September 17th 6:00 am – 2:45 pm .

You can register online and find out more information. The basic rules are:
-All fish must be caught from a legal fishing platform, see below. -No bank fishing or wade fishing. -Competitors may troll one line. -Only black bass with a minimum length of 8 inches will be scored. -Cell phones will be used to submit catches to tourneyX. -Standard KBF rules will be used when judging submissions: Mouth closed, tail may not be pinched, dorsal fin on top, belly on the bottom, fish facing left, tail on the right. -Unique tournament identifier must be plainly visible in it’s entirety. Violations may disqualify submission. -Any commercially available measuring board may be used, the Hawg Trough is highly recommended. NO FLEXIBLE MEASURING TAPES OR STICKERS. -All fish must be caught on rod & reel using artificial baits only during tournament hours. -All black bass caught during the tournament will be released alive. ***Fishing platforms Kayaks, canoes, and piroques only. All fishing platforms must be human powered by paddling or peddling. No electric or gas motors. No sails. No towing or mother ships. Tandems are allowed. ****Miscellaneous -Competitors are responsible obeying all laws and are responsible for their own safety. -Personally flotation devices (PFDs) must be worn during this tournament. -Use good judgment!!! If it seems illegal it probably is! Direct all questions and concerns to the tournament director. CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Any information about cheating and those involved will be made public for the best interest of our sport. The tournament director and club officials will have the final say in all matters!
