I love watching the Little League World Series. As a former Little Leaguer myself (some of you are having a good laugh trying to picture that….) I played right field wearing No. 7 for Green Brothers Dairy and also as an adult coached youth baseball for more than a decade. I had my fair share of fun. I just love watching the youngsters give it their all and, in some cases, playing even more efficiently than some of the high priced “pros” I see on TV.
But that isn’t the point today. The point is we should all live like it’s Little League. Things would be so much better for everybody. What do I mean? Just check out the Little League Pledge, which remains the same now as it did 50+ years ago:
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” — Colossians 3:23-24
