Two important items: One good and hopefully, one other that, hopefull, is all good, too!
One:
It’s time for the annual Fireworks over Lake D’arbonne on July 2 starting at 9 p.m. or close to that! This year the show is going back to the Ramp Road area by the Ruston Highway. Check out all the sponsors and tell them thanks. Watch from your car or bring a lawn chair — or watch from your boat (but make sure your running lights are in working order). And bring mosquito spray!
One other:
LDWF’s Law Enforcement agents will participate in Operation Dry Water from July 2-4. During the Operation Dry Water weekend, LDWF agents will be patrolling state waterways for impaired boat operators.
Alcohol impairs a boater’s judgment, balance, vision and reaction time. It can increase fatigue and susceptibility to the effects of cold-water immersion. Thinking about drinking and driving a boat? JUST DON’T.
And if you see somebody that is impaired. Please report it. They don’t deserve to endanger the lives of innocent people. And if you ignore it, you wouldn’t want to be part of that, would you?
Please enjoy this holiday weekend safely. For more information, visit operationdrywater.org
