The B&W Trailer Hitches Stage One Major League Fishing event is underway on D’Arbonne, followed by days on Caney and Bussey Brake. Folks, this is a once in a lifetime event and you can WATCH IT LIVE online at Major League Fishing’s website. Be patient. You have to watch a couple of commercials, but hey, it beats being out there on the water in 28 degree weather!

Don”t miss it. In spite of brutal dropping water temps, they are catching fish on Day One at D’Arbonne already. There were already a five pounder and two fours caught early Saturday. Here’s a look at the scoretracker early Saturday morning. It is also live on MLF. This changes by the minute, so check regularly.
There’s a lot to keep up with on this event and the best way to track it is online at the MLF site. We won’t update it often because things change so fast. And while a picture is worth a thousand words, watching a live video feed is just like, well, the dictionary on steroids!
The anglers were welcomed to the first day of competition at the Lake D’Arbonne State Park launching ramp by several members of the Lake D’Arbonne community and given goodie bags, which included Union Parish goodies and some good snacks to help them through the cold day. Shown below is Mayor John Crow, Karen Brown, MLF angler ( and early leader) Mark Daniel, Jr. and Mary Barrios.
