I’m not big on cleaning up other people’s messes. But thank goodness some great people are.
Bussey hasn’t even been reopened to the public for a year yet, but it’s time to go behind those folks that never learned to take care of what they had. You know, the “Let Somebody Else Do It” club. Some folks are lifetime members. Litterbugs and the like.
But this Saturday, May 22, at 8 a.m., a group of volunteers will meet at the main entrance of Bussey Brake Reservoir in Bastrop and do a little sprucing up and cleaning up of this fantastic outdoor resource in Morehouse Parish.
It’s a great opportunity for groups, especially with young folks, to take part in a community activity that makes a difference. It’s that time of year to watch out for critters — like snakes and bugs and poison ivy, so well — watch out for critters. Be safe and thanks to everybody who is willing to help with these kinds of things.
