James Bryant of Sedalia, Missouri, is the new owner and operater of the popular American Crappie Trail. Bryant has served as weighmaster and emcee for ACT since it’s inception and is also owner of the Bryant’s Osage Outdoors sporting goods store.
The announcement was made Thursday night by former ACT owner Matt Morgan and Bryant.
“We’ve got exciting news for the ACT,” Morgan said. “Our circuit is just about to get underway for 2021 and I’m proud to announce that Jamie will be running the operation and be the new owner of ACT. We will make a transition using our team and Jamie’s team over the next couple of tournaments.
“I plan on having some upcoming videos on the ACT Facebook page in the coming days and look forward to the support of the ACT fishermen and sponsors,” Bryant said. “We’ve got some great things coming up down the road and I can’t wait to share them.”
ACT has had tournaments on Lake D’Arbonne, including a national championship, and on the Ouachita River in the past. However, this year’s ACT schedule does not have a Louisiana tournament.
