A great deer cam shot

no name

I’ve seen a lot of deer cam pictures, but this one takes the cake, or rice bran, as it may be. Curtis Simpson of West Monroe had been watching a big buck on his game cameras for several years. He finally became “a shooter” and deer cam photos gave Curtis a good idea when he might be at a certain stand of his.

Curtis got there, set up and it wasn’t long until a big doe came out of the woods and starting nibbling on corn. Just as Curtis had planned, the big buck came walking out of the woods on cue 30 minutes before dark.

A few minutes after his game camera took this automatic photo (see the big buck in the upper left), Curtis took the big deer with his bow. Thanks to Curtis for sharing the photo with us!

If you are a deer hunter, it’s time to get on the trail of the big one you want to take this year. With a little luck, maybe you’ll get a deer cam and bow/gun shot of a lifetime.
