There’s an old saying, “lead, follow, or get out of the way”. These days, I think we can shorten that to two options, “help, or get out of the way”.
Don’t be selfish right now. Don’t be impatient. Don’t put others in harms way over things that can wait. If you are home, this isn’t a vacation, folks. Find something to do without going out. So many are sacrificing by working to offer health services, food and essential services. Hundreds more are standing in wait to do so, because they know they will be needed. This thing isn’t anywhere near over. The more people get out, the longer and more serious it will be. Staying home is already making a difference and it’s still bad. It isn’t the simple flu and it isn’t some made up thing. It isn’t something that is just going to happen to “somebody else“.
Many are stepping up, sacrificing and helping. They are such a blessing. Honor what they are doing by showing patience and caring for your neighbors. And keep up with the helpers, a blessing beyond measure.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.
