
At the end of next week, the National Champion of the American Crappie Trail will be crowned on Lake D’Arbonne. Things are gearing up for a big week. The lake is off limits right now to tournament fishermen, but final preparations are ongoing for the big show.
Above is a look at some of the details if you’d like to keep up. We’ll be covering lots of action around the tournament, as well as some previews before it, on lakedarbonnelife.com.
The top 100 teams from the 2018 tour are qualified and will be eligible to fish on Thursday. Only the top 50 teams will advance to the second round Friday with both those weighins lakeside in Farmerville at D’Arbonne Pointe. On Saturday, the top 25 teams will remain to shoot, or is that “jig”, it out for more than $100,000 in cash and prizes. The final Saturday weighin will be in Ruston at Railroad Park.
