Looky here! Two former ULM Fishing team members who have taken their skills on the pro circuit are in the top ten after Friday’s round of the first FLW Fishing Bass tournament of the year on Lake Okeechobee in Florida. Tyler Stewart of West Monroe is in ninth place and Brett Preuett is in tenth place. This is Tyler’s first-ever pro event.
Only the top 30 anglers in the tournament moved on to Saturday’s final round. Congratulations to both these fine young men. We’re all pulling for them to finish as high as possible. Tyler has a two-day total of 35 pounds, one ounce. Brett has a two-day total of 34-13. Photos below: That’s Tyler holding up a good one at today’s weigh in and Brett in the boat pulling in a big one on the water as his partner nets the fish for him.
Jim Dillard of West Monroe finished in 66th in the event, just out of the money. The top 50 receive paychecks.
