It’s going to be a big crappie.com weekend on Lake DArbonne Thursday through Sunday.
Members of the crappie.com fishing fellowship — which could include you by just showing up — will have their annual fishing, food and fun fellowship at the Lake D’Arbonne State Park this weekend. Crappie.com is a group of regular crappie fishermen who share tips, fishing reports and stories from around the state on the internet site. They have two regular get-togethers each year, one in November on Lake D’Arbonne and one early in the year on Toledo Bend.

This is how Juicy does it — two slabber.com’s!
According to D’Arbonne event organizer Joshua Maxwell, a.k.a. “Juicy” of Team Overalls, members will start coming in Thursday, chill and grill and hit the lake Friday morning to catch some crappie. There will be a 10X pot luck dinner at Cabin Six (the Lodge) Friday night. I call it a 10X dinner because there is usually 10 times as much food as you can eat!
Saturday members of the group will either fish just for fun, or fish in the Crappie United tournament on the lake.
Either way, the crappie.com group will meet and clean their fish and have a fish fry Saturday night. There will also be door prizes for crappie.com members and folks will head home Sunday.
There’s a lot of leeway on what will happen this weekend, but this group does guarantee one thing, Juicy says.
“We’re gonna have a good time.”
If you aren’t a member and want to attend, come out on. You can message Joshua on Facebook or sign up on the crappie.com website and go to the Louisiana Forum for more information.
I’ll guarantee you one thing, too. If you take part, you’re gonna have a good time with some good folks!
