The Crappie.com ‘ers are .coming back to D’Ar.bone!
The annual fun, food, fellowship (and story telling) gathering of the followers of Crappie.com will be here on D’Arbonne for their Fall Gathering on Nov. 9, 10 and 11.
This year, the event is about to get Juicy. As in “Juicy” Joshua Maxwell.
Maxwell is taking over the reins from long-time leader Mark “Waldo” Weldon. But the rest of the crew will be the same. If you havent noticed already, they go by nicknames instead of real names. In fact, I bet a lot of them don’t even know all the other fishermen’s real names. They meet, you see, online at http://www.crappie.com most of the time, but have an annual fish-off just so they can stay in touch face to face. Check out the site and go to the Louisiana forum page for more details. Better yet, sign up and join them. They would love it!
Here’s the details from “Juicy”, who is also, by the way, Captain of TEAM OVERALLS!
Juicy and some crappie.slabs!
“Hey fellow fishermen, I will be the event coordinator this year for our annual gathering on Lake Darbonne on Nov 9,10,11! We gather at the State Park, and We have a great time of fishing and fellowshipping! We average around 50 crappie fishermen each year in which most bring their families! A truly great event which is one of the highlights of my year!
We have door prizes to draw names for and many companies and individuals have donated their crappie products, in which we are very grateful! I have started to send emails to those individuals this year but wanted to reach out on here because I have many friends on here that crappie fish and make different products! Just wanted to see if anyone wanted to donate to our door prizes?? Anyone is welcome…just sign up on crappie.com and come enjoy some fishing and fellowshipping! Thanx!”
