These were the winners in the recent Tyler Wheeler big bass tournament on D’Arbonne. Expect the same type catches in the upcoming Majestic
Once again, this weekend is big bass time in northeast Louisiana. It’s not necessarily the best time to catch big largemouths, but it’s the best time to catch them to win prizes and help worthy causes.
Unfortunately, it’s also a time when area big bass fishermen not only have to choose which bait to fish with or where to fish for a lunker, but they also have to pick between

Colby Duke
two big bass tournaments on the same weekend.
The annual Majestic Bass tournament on Lake D’Arbonne and the Ronald McDonald Ouachita River Big Bass tournament are both this weekend – June 10-11. The Majestic has always been on these dates, but last year the McDonald moved to the same weekend. They are both great tournaments with worthy causes. It’s a shame they are now on the same weekend, regardless of the reasons.
Colby Duke will be on the water to defend his record breaking Majestic win in the stringer division from last year. Brochures are available at all area Tackle stores. The weigh-n will be held at Ludwig Marine.
