Okay, that’s not our regular Sunday Scripture verse, so what’s it doing here? After I read it, it made me think that we often look at another’s folly, judge and laugh, yet in that, we may be facing our own folly, or foolishness.
This Presidential political race is so divisive. Mainly because the candidates policies and political leanings are so far apart. Those differences also have us chasing our own tails, and saying, thinking and maybe doing things that we shouldn’t. Many are looking at choosing the less of two evils. Some people are having a hard time deciding which candidate that is. I don’t have a hard time. If you look at the issues facing us today, the choice is clear to me. But I’m not here to talk politics. My point is simple: No matter what happens in politics or elections, we can’t let it ruin our Christian witness or make others stumble. Or make ourselves stumble. There is a bigger purpose. The verse below reminds us of that — and most impotantly – that there is only one true Lawgiver.
James 4:11-12
Well put, Kinny. Thanks for the blog.
