If you saw this photo on your deer cam, you’d think Santa Claus had been in the area and you’d dream of him coming back to see you on opening morning, right?
Well, this doesn’t have anything to do with Santa Claus, but it is “magic”.
Actually, it’s a photo of a big buck bachelor party over a pile of one of the hottest new deer hunting products around, Delta Magic Deer Attractant. It’s not cheap and if you plan on using it, please follow this advice from the company’s Facebook page:
“Before purchasing a bag of Delta Magic. PLEASE read the instructions. This is NOT a feed, it is an ATTRACTANT. Unless you are Bill Gates or Warren Buffet, you can’t afford to feed them with this. I watched them eat 250 pounds every 48 hours from a trough in April when everything in the woods was lush green. There is a right way and a wrong way to use Delta Magic. If you use it the wrong way, like corn or rice bran (any feed kept out on a daily basis) then expect your deer to eventually treat it as such. Keeping it out on a daily basis is the WORST thing you can do with this. The key to using Delta Magic is to get them hooked, which takes a couple of applications. After your deer have eaten it a couple of times, they now relate the aroma with the taste. From this point only apply ONLY prior to hunting. Keep FEEDING them corn, rice bran, etc and growing food plots. Use Delta Magic only when you want to put one in the crosshairs.”
You can get the “Magic” at Tiger Bend Outdoors in Marion or TaterBugs and other area outdoor stores. In fact, Tiger Bend Outdoors Is giving away a 10 pound bag of Delta Magic Wildlife Attractant.
