Prayers for south Louisiana

Thousands of people who have never seen flood water near their homes in south Louisiana and other areas now find themselves in shelters and with friends, most or all of their possessions gone under water.  It’s almost like a Cat 5 hurricane has hit our state, except without the wind. Many can’t even evacuate because water is over the roads.

And it isn’t over. More rain is falling and is forecast. Please take time today to pray for those affected. And pray for the first responders, the care givers and all those who are helping out. Don’t think it is “the only thing you can do”. It’s the most important thing you can do right now.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Ps. 34:18
