Why do people lie, or tell half truths, when just being honest would be so easy? Sometimes, it’s an illness. Other times, it is simply to cover up what they have done. Either way, it’s a shameful waste of life, to be dishonest. Some have lied so much they can not even discern truth. Often innocent people believe the lies, and they are the real victims.
Truth defined in one way is “sincerity in action, character, and utterance”.
Perhaps the most famous verse about truth in the Bible is what Jesus said “… I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
So Jesus is real truth and Jesus is also the Word (John 1:1, 14). Every word in the Bible is true; this is the foundation upon which we live our lives. Knowing what the Bible says about truth and hiding God’s word in our heart helps us to know when we are listening to truth.
For the others, there is always still hope. But without effort to find truth, they are lost in their own lies.

p.s. 5 of his fish could feed thousands, on the other hand since you keep those that are still nursing, 5 of yours might not feed a couple of hungry ant. (sounds like it’s time for a tournament)
