They’re at it again, those pesky Ouachita River hot water perch jerkers.
It’s Perchfest 2.0, scheduled for August 27th on the beautiful Ouachita River. A little different approach than last time, but the goal is to catch crappie, win fish bait money, enjoy the pleasant summer temperatures and have a good time with some other good fishermen. Here are the details.
PERCHFEST is an AUGUST 27TH CRAPPIE TOURNAMENT. Open to the public on the OUACHITA RIVER. Must Launch at Finch Bayou Rec. Ramp (Alabama Landing) or Sterlington ramp, 8 poles or less, live bait or artificial baits, 1 or 2 people per boat. $40.oo per Boat and $5.00 boat ramp fee at Alabama landing, You may Register at Alabama landing ramp from 5am to 5:50am or pre-register by getting in touch with one of the folks listed below.

Boundary waters will be from D’Arbonne Bayou mouth and up bayou to Felsenthal locks and all tributaries in between as long as can access by boat from river ,that’s a 40 mile stretch of water. Neal did confirm that Bayou D’Arbonne is open to fishing, but going very far up the bayou is a long haul!). There is 100% payback, Pre-fishing allowed thru Thursday before tournament, Fish do not have to be alive due to hot weather and you may keep as many as you want but can only weigh in 7 and dink.
