Josh Harris said the final tally is in and the recent Scott Bullitt Big Bass Tournament on D’Arbonne netted almost $30,000 to go to the fund to help our injured wildlife enforcement agent with his rehabilitation expenses. That’s just awesome.
Money came from fishermen, sponsors, folks that bought t-shirts and donations. Thanks to everyone involved.
And here’s another big number that’s important to us at lakedarbonnelife.com: Last week we surpassed 200,000 viewers on the site in our first three years with three months to go in 2015. Thanks to everyone who reads the site and to our sponsors. We would not, could not, be here without either of you!
And here’s another big number: 1
That’s for First Place, where Sontus Mitchell finished in the Bullitt Big Bass Tournament. As part of his winnings, he received a life size replica mount of the winning fish donated by Curtis Thomas and CAT Taxidermy in Spearsville. Curtis does great work and also supplies the winner of the Union Parish Big Buck Contest with a free shoulder mount of the winning trophy. Thanks. If you need a good fish or deer mount — or just about any mount — give him a shout.
I’d say that’s good news all around.
