Is it okay to steal from the preacher?
I’m about to find out. I’m stealing this idea from my preacher, Bro. Bill Dye. In addition to preaching, ministering to one of the area’s largest churches and raising his own family, he writes a regular blog, too. I’m stealing one of his ideas here, because I think it’s important.
Right now hundreds and hundreds of us are all abuzz about getting the gun sighted in, the deer stand prepped and rid of demon wasps and other critters, working to trim the shooting lanes and getting the bullets all lined up and ready for hunting season.
But before you set foot in the stand or the boat for fall fishing, make sure you have the most important thing ready for the long haul: YOU
From Bro. Bill:
“So . . . let me get really personal. What are you doing with your life? God has something more for you than to live and die. This life is very brief. A vapor. But heaven lasts forever. So this life is preparation for heaven. What you do now will determine how you live for eternity. So make an investment in things that will last. Give your life to more than what you can see.
Jesus said:
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; Matthew 6:20
