Lake life

Next Saturday

Here’s a quick fishing report:

There are fish being caught everywhere. In the channel, in the flats, in the shallows. Before you call in sick, though, here are the details. There were 28 fish caught in the channel, 12 on the flats and 8 in the shallows.  Okay, it was a little better than that this weekend, but not much. Fish are scattered and so are the fishermen. But several two-pound plus white perch were caught this weekend. It will probably take one of those to win next Saturday’s big King of the Lake tournament.

Don’t forget. It’s a one pole, one fish tournament. Even I have a chance to catch a limit with those kind of rules! Weigh in will be at the new D’Arbonne Pointe facility just off the Ruston Hwy. west of Farmerville.
