The first episode of Krappie Kings featuring Lake D’Arbonne ran on national TV recently and two more episodes are schedule to show in February on the Sportsman Channel. If you won’t be home, set the DVR. It’s really exciting to see our lake, town and parish on the big screen. Here’s the schedule:
Krappie King with John Godwin: Krappie King Karl Kalonka will be fishing on the lake with West Monroe’s John Godwin of Duck Commander. They land some really nice slab crappie and go over several techniques that catch D’Arbonne crappie. The show will air on February 7 at 7:30 a.m. CST and reruns will also run during the week.
Krappie King with Brandon Jennings: Kalonka fishes with Brandon Jennings of Sikes. The show will air at 7:30 a.m. February 28. They fish some shallow water patterns, talk about crappie tournaments in the area and feature the Dutch Oven cooking and other aspects of the beautiful D’Arbonne State Park. Reruns will also run the following week. Check your TV guide to see times.
