Early season boat and outdoor shows are supposed to be a cure for “cabin fever”, giving everybody a chance to get out and do something after a long winter. But events like the KNOE Boat and Outdoor Show this weekend just make cabin fever worse for me! It makes me want to get out and get going even though Old Man Winter is not through just yet.
But seriously, if you want to have a good time and trade in your “cabin fever” for “boat fever”, this is the ticket. Come on out and take a look at all the newest and latest boats and equipment and hear the latest fishing stories, for sure. You don’t even have to be in the market for a boat. It’s just fun to come out and look. It’s amazing how far boats and outdoor equipment have come over the years. And if you do get the fever, or show up with it already, there’s no better time to make a deal, get it financed and drive home pulling a new rig.
There will be lots of boats there, but make sure and check out the large selection of boats and motors our sponsor, Wood Marine of Ruston, has on the main floor of this year’s show at the Monroe Civic Center. They’ll have their Lowe pontoon boats, including the increasingly popular tri-toon (a three pontoon high performance boat) in fish and cruise models. You can also check out the new line of Phoenix bass boats and Pro-Drive outboards and mud boats.
The display will be completed by the ever popular Stinger 175 Lowe Aluminum fishing boat and the 16-foot steer models that you see on area lakes. And for those who like to get up close and personal with their fishing, don’t miss the KC Kayaks. You can find out more about them at http://www.woodmarine.com
Have fun. It won’t be long until it’s time to get out on the water!
