Union’s No. 1 in deer harvest

Where are the deer?  Well, it’s hard to say. But it is easy to say what parishes the deer were in LAST YEAR! And it’s a good bet the largest populations of deer and hunters will be in the same ones again this year.

  1. While dear hunting near Summerfield several years I come up on this strange looking fellow, sort of resemblance’s KB. I asked him “fellow where you from”? Down near Houma he replied. How did you find this place? He said he went to the LWL&F office and asked the best deer hunting and they tell him Morehouse Parish. Second best he was told was Union Parish, he figured Morehouse would be to/too crowded. LWL&F was mad at Morehouse Parish over a confiscated deer issue by the sheriff of Morehouse Parish so they were sending as many hunters as possible to Morehouse.
