Take America’s Boating Course

A lot of us grew up driving boats and always put safety first. But whether you are a newcomer to boating or driving any kind of watercraft or you are a veteran, there’s a free course you should consider taking.

It’s America’s Boating Course and the Ouachita Sail and Power Squadron is offering the course free to the public on Saturday, July 26 starting at 8:30 a.m.  The class will be held at the OSPS clubhouse on White’s Ferry Road in West Monroe on Bayou D’Arbonne. I’m a graduate of the course, so that means you can pass, too!

Lunch will be provided. If you are interested in attending, please let them know by calling Charles Ramsey at 387-2407 or Tom Jackson at 397-2406.  Course materials and a certificate of completion will be provided.

And you’ll be a better boater for it.
