A young man helps a layd with her groceries and takes a minute to share with her, “Mam, you know when things get tough in this crazy world, it’s good to know that you can trust in the Lord”.
A young couple hangs tough, fighting a very tough disease. The doctors’ visits, the travel, the pure stress of the situation while managing it all through important jobs and raising a family are such an uphill battle.
Friends deal with a parent in the final stages of life. The list could go on and on, and times like these affect everybody. It’s part of life. But that cliche doesn’t offer any comfort. This does:
Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
If you know and believe that, it doesn’t really lessen the human pain we feel dealing with tough situations or challenges. But through it all, it brings a peace that does go beyond understanding. And that does lessen the pain that our hearts and spirits feel. For people who don’t know that, situations like the ones above must seem hopeless or unexplainable. But they aren’t hopeless or unexplainable. And you don’t have to go through tough times alone. The verse above tells us that. And there’s lots more. Check out the emergency numbers below:
