Baby it’s cold outside

The shores of Lake D’Arbonne looked more like the shores of Lake Erie the past two days. High winds were pushing waves up on the bank and the spray was freezing, making some pretty eerie ice sculptures among the tree branches and grass stubble around the shore. It’s a sight we don’t see often around here. Temps should warm up after this morning and return to normal 25-35 degree weather. At least until this weekend, when it will be back in the 60’s again. Welcome to Louisiana.

There was another sight on the lake that is very unfamiliar yesterday as well. NOBODY was out fishing. Usually, there’s one. But I checked all the major boat launches and didn’t see anybody. Maybe they were waiting to go night fishing.
