That sixth sense….

You know that sixth sense that we often have? The one that tells you “don’t do it “, but you do it anyway? Well, my sixth through ninth senses all told me not to do this, but here goes. I’m sure a lot of you who know me will have a blast with it.

Can you identify the two people in the photograph  below?

(You can click on it to make it larger and more scary)

Hint. One went on the be a famous fisherman and the other just wore a big “T” (Tennessee) cap around, showed up on fishing shows and the like:

This photo was taken at Howard Griffin's marine in Monroe back in the 1970's.

Yes, there’s a story behind this one. Back in the day when big tournament circuits were just getting started, there was a circuit in our area called Ford Dealers For Bass (FDFB). One of the tournaments was right here on Lake D’Arbonne every year, sponsored by Rivers’ Ford, and I fished the circuit for five or six years. One of the first years of the event, I was fortunate enough to fish with a young man (not quite as young as me, though) from Memphis, Tenn., named Bill Dance. Neither of us had a good tournament, but I’m sure he’s still telling people about the time he got to fish with me…..HA HA HA!

No curly hair or skinny jokes, please…
