You have to know that there is screaming and gnashing of teeth from liberals and atheists in the hallways of A&E over the success of “Duck Dynasty” and especially over the family prayer that Phil Robertson says “in Jesus’ name” at the end of every show. I’ve heard that there is tons of pressure on A&E to make them stop the prayers and having guns on the show so often. I also heard that when A&E went to Phil to discuss it, he told them, “if we cant pray to God on the show, we will not do the show. Guns and God are apart of our everyday lives and to remove either of them from the show is unacceptable”. Thumbs up.
Here’s the deal. If you don’t like guns and God, then you can watch “Why Bugs Crawl” or “My Mother Was An Alien Dinosaur” or some other deeply intellectually challenging show. Nobody makes anybody watch Duck Dynasty. Hey, Jack — eight million people a week just want to see good wholesome TV that promotes America, family values, and religious freedom.
There is something you can do to help. Every time the Robertson’s stop praying at the end of one of the shows, you take a minute and pray for them that they will have the strength and a way to do what they know is right. In fact, don’t wait. Pray for them right now. And put them on the prayer list at your church. Thank God for what they are doing. It’s not about duck calls and guns, folks. It’s about a family in America trying to live and share God’s word!
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”
