No, not me. THE LAKE !!!!. The wind made her mad yesterday! Really mad. She was BOILING.
It was not a good day to be on the lake. Not even a good day to be near the lake. The waves were cresting at about three feet high because of consistent 15 to 25 mile an hour winds from the south, southwest Monday. Then came more lightening, more thunder…and more rain.
Combined with the high water, some of the waves were splashing over boat docks and decks at mid-day yesterday. I can overcome a lot of things to go fishing. High wind is not one of them.
Mother Nature seems intent on giving me no more to write about than lake levels and wave levels. So yesterday I sat on the back porch, sorted hooks, untangled yo-yo’s, practiced flipping a jig around the edges of various potted plants (I think I got a couple of bites) and waited patiently for the spring that has not yet sprung. But she will. And I hope she finds the lake calm and happy. That will be a good day.
