Good cheer

Trusting and following God is serious business. It’s an eternal business. Those that miss that bus are in for a long, hot, rough ride. But God loves us to smile. He loves us to laugh.

When I saw the following I had to laugh, and I think it would make him laugh. At least now I know why so many people rush to help me when I look like I’m having trouble…

A God with a sense of humor? Of course. The Bible has many verses relating to that. Among them:

Proverbs 17:22   “A cheerful heart is a good medicine.”

Psalm 37:12-13   “The wicked plot against the righteous, and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that their day is coming.”
(Sorry, but I have to ask — Was this one written for some politicians?)

Ecclesiastes 3:4   “A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”
