There are big plans in the making for the future of Folly Beach on Lake D’Arbonne. A new hotel and restaurant. A new convenience store. Boat Docks. And more.
That excitement over those plans by local businessman Kerry Hill and his partners will get a jump start over the Fourth of July Weekend when a three-day event is planned by the developers of the new area. They will tie in with the local fireworks show and be a fine tune-up to the upcoming Watermelon Festival in July.
The Fabulous Fouth weekend will begin when the Folly Beach gates open on Friday, July 3, at 4 p.m. for people to set up to watch the annual Lake D’Arbonne fireworks show and
entertainment. The fireworks will take place at about 8:45, followed by a concert from Flashback5.
There is more Saturday. The gates will open at 10 a.m. with musical performances starting at 2 p.m. and going on through the evening. Need more? Come back Sunday from 2-6 p.m. where music will be provided by DJ Amanda McDowell.
During the event, food items and beverages will be on sale. Tickets are $15 per day for adults and $10 for children. Family packages are also available. Boaters will have access to the event and will also be charged admission. For more details, check out the Folly Facebook page… https://www.facebook.com/events/482281495257527/
