It’s time to take a break from fishing and focus on a big event that’s coming up in this area. It won’t draw hundreds of thousands of visitors or get coverage in the New York Times, but you can bet that the 40th annual Corney Creek Great Outdoors Festival in Bernice will be fun for anyone who goes there.
Yes, they’ll even roll up the streets (well, some of them) starting at 5 p.m. Friday, April 17, so vendors can start setting up. The first of ten clues for the annual treasure hunt contest will be revealed at 6 p.m. followed by an evening of fun.
It doesn’t let up Saturday, with a full array of events from races to a parade, a midway and lots more. And a street dance Saturday night.
