There are some pretty clear, but simple instructions for attending next weekend’s Corney Creek Great Outdoor Festival: Come and have fun.

This Friday (April 11) is the last day to register and receive a free 5K t-shirt. You can register later, but you won’t get a t-shirt. The event begins Saturday, April 19, at 8 a.m. You can also register on line at https://secure.getmeregistered.com/get_information.php?event_id=10491 .
The Festival will come to an end Saturday night with a Street Dance featuring Chris Jones.

Bernice is a small, vibrant community in North Central Louisiana with much to see and offer. With a population of approximately 1,800 people, the incorporated area is about three square miles. Bernice is located 15 miles south of the Arkansas state line in Union Parish. The business district is bisected by US Highway 167, North and South, and Louisiana Highway 2, East and West. Bernice is 20 miles north of Interstate 20 in Ruston, Louisiana.
Bernice is in the heart of a recreational area, bounded by 20,000 acres of lakes including Lake D’Arbonne, Lake Claiborne, and Corney Lake. Bernice extends the invitation to visit the Bernice Depot Museum and Captain Henderson Caboose. Also, stop by the Town Hall to visit and have a cup of coffee. The Union Parish Tourist Center is located directly beside the Town Hall.
