The University of Louisiana – Monroe team of Nick Ladart and Brian Eaton, both of Monroe, weighed four fish Friday for 8 pounds, six ounces to hold the lead in the FLW National College Championship on Lake Keowee in South Carolina.
The duo have a total of 24-15 for a slim lead over Slippery Rock with 24-5, University of Minnesota follows with 23-7 and West Virginia in fourth with 23-5.
The duo had trolling motor problems after their batteries didn’t charge properly and the rain today kept their bite away for most of the morning. When it finally stopped, they caught their four fish.
