Gator Getters

About ten times a week, someone comes to this site because they have “Googled” Jeromy Pruitt or David LaDart of “Swamp People” TV fame. Since I’ve written about them, people end up here by the search engine.

Season Four of “Swamp People” is currently underway and the two area gator hunters are making their mark. Their hunting style is different from the south Louisiana hunters and it’s cool to think they are hunting gators right up here in our “backyard” in Union and upper Ouachita parishes out of Marion. If you haven’t watched an episode, check it out (History Channel, Thursday at 8 p.m). If you have a chance, also check out last week’s episode on the internet or a re-run of it on TV where the duo catches a gator bigger than their small plastic “weedwacker” two-man boat! It was so big that when it came up out of the water face-to-face with Jeromy, it made the TV folks have a typo in the caption ( it read that Jeromy said, “Oh,  #%@$”).
