LAKE LEVEL REPORT & random thoughts: Believe it or not, Lake D’Arbonne is on the rise again. The lake was at 81.7 feet yesterday and is predicted to crest at over 82 feet in the next few days. That’s two feet above normal pool stage…and the spring rains haven’t even hit yet. Strange weather this spring and strange water levels… I hope it doesn’t go down too quickly because a lot of fish are spawning in shallow water right now and it wouldn’t be good for their nests to end up high and dry. It’s almost May and the bream haven’t even moved in shallow. Maybe the pollen has been so thick they don’t like the green colored water!
